Description
Associate Veterinarian – 4-Day Week | Technician Drives
Phoenix, Arizona
Full-time | $135,000–$140,000, depending on experience
You practice medicine. Your technician drives.
Valet Vet Mobile Veterinary Services is hiring an associate veterinarian who wants to practice high-quality medicine without the pace, noise, and relentless appointment volume of a traditional veterinary hospital.
Each veterinarian is paired with a dedicated veterinary technician for the entire day. Your technician drives the company vehicle between appointments, manages navigation, helps transport and organize equipment, assists with patient restraint and treatments, and keeps the mobile workflow moving.
You are not expected to drive around Phoenix alone, carry every piece of equipment into the home, restrain patients by yourself, and manage the entire appointment without support.
Our veterinarians generally see six to seven carefully scheduled home visits per day.
That means more time with each patient, more meaningful conversations with clients, and fewer appointments stacked on top of one another.

This is still real veterinary medicine. You will see wellness appointments, sick patients, chronic disease cases, senior pets, diagnostic workups, hospice patients, and end-of-life appointments.
The difference is that you have the time and support to focus on the patient in front of you.
Comprehensive mobile medicine
Valet Vet is more than a vaccine or convenience service. We provide full-service veterinary care for dogs and cats in our clients’ homes.
Our team has access to equipment and services including:
Digital radiography
Dental radiography
In-house laboratory equipment
Ultrasound
Anesthesia monitoring
Telemedicine support
Preventive and sick-patient care
Senior and chronic disease management
Hospice and in-home euthanasia
Routine soft-tissue surgery and dentistry
Surgical and dental procedures are performed in our mobile surgical unit—not inside a client’s home.
Advanced surgical experience is welcome but is not required. Candidates should be comfortable with routine soft-tissue surgery or willing to continue developing those skills with support.
Who will enjoy this position
This role may be a strong fit for you if you:
Want to practice excellent medicine without seeing 18 to 25 appointments per day
Prefer a predictable weekday schedule
Enjoy building meaningful relationships with clients
Appreciate having a technician dedicated to you rather than shared between several doctors
Are comfortable making independent medical decisions
Want autonomy without being left completely on your own
Communicate compassionately and clearly
Enjoy variety and do not need every day to look exactly the same
Value sustainable workload and work-life balance
Mobile medicine requires flexibility, resourcefulness, and strong communication. It also offers something increasingly rare in veterinary medicine: the ability to slow down, focus on one family at a time, and practice without a waiting room full of increasingly frustrated clients.
Compensation
$135,000–$140,000 base salary, depending on experience
22% ProSal compensation
No negative accrual
Full-time, four-day workweek
Approximately 32–36 hours per week
Our compensation reflects a lower-volume practice model built around six to seven home visits per day—not a high-volume hospital model requiring doctors to see appointments every 15 to 20 minutes.

Our benefits package includes:
Medical insurance
Dental insurance
Vision insurance
Paid time off
Continuing education allowance
Professional licensing and dues support
Retirement benefits

About Valet Vet
Valet Vet is a privately owned, veterinarian-led mobile practice serving dogs and cats throughout the Phoenix area.
We believe veterinary professionals should be able to provide excellent medicine without being overloaded, rushed, or treated like production machines.
We are not trying to recreate a high-volume corporate hospital inside a vehicle.
We have built the operational support, routing systems, technician model, equipment, and client service team necessary for veterinarians to focus on practicing medicine.
